Kylee Kanayama McKay was born into a shiatsu family in 2006. She began learning shiatsu at the Ohashi Institute with Ohashi, her grand-uncle, and later helping her mother, Grandmaster Kumiko Kanayama, found the Five Lights Center of Shiatsu. She is now sharing her years of experience and deep understanding of this ancient art as a shiatsu intern.
Along with assisting in numerous Shiatsu courses, classes, seminars and events, Kylee also has experience with Zen meditation, Chanting, Makko Ho meridian stretches, Yoga Therapy, Sound Therapy, Moxa Therapy, Cupping, Acupuncture, Reflexology, seated chair shiatsu, Reiki and spa treatments. She currently is a freshman in college, studying the body/mind relationship through her courses in psychology, allowing her to better connect physicality to mentality.
Kylee enjoys reading, listening to music and nearly all forms of artistic expression as is apparent from her unique style. She is bilingual in English, Japanese and knows a little Spanish.
Her sweet nature and ability to listen compassionately earns her the trust and appreciation of her friends, colleagues and instructors.
