Emma Berniczky is The Five Lights Center of Shiatsu’s Business Development Officer. She received her undergraduate degree in Economics & International Relations from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland and studied for her master’s degree in Business Analytics at the UCL in London.

After seven years away, Emma recently moved back to NYC. She has spent time in Japan as a teacher, and while in California, she worked in the tech startup space, something she wants to continue doing from NYC. She also worked in Fraud Analysis for a finance company.

As part of The Five Lights Center of Shiatsu team, she will help launch the online course programs for the school, as well as, provide support in creating an educational center for Eastern Healing using the Thinkific platform.

Emma is fluent in Japanese and loves learning about Japan’s history and culture. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, tennis reading, and making jewelry. She has experienced shiatsu, acupuncture, and yoga. Emma is “… a big believer in Eastern medicine and healing techniques, and I’m happy to be part of this lovely shiatsu community!” Welcome, Emma!
